Pennytel AWFUL And Disgusting in SHORT

For those of you who do not know about the Pennytel plan
Pennytel offers an 8 cent untimes call to over 70 destinations and Talk Till You Drop to over 70 more destinations at 38.88 cents(including INDIA Landlines and Mobiles and several other countries).
I recently purchased the Pennytel Talk Till YOu Drop plan , After a tedious Credit Card Verification.
Atlast i started making calls
I faced all kinds of problems ...
1)I tried to call with the Softphone from Pennytel and X-Lite
In both the cases the calls dropped in less than 5 minutes.(disgusting after you pay 8
cents for the call connection)
2)Failing to use the softphone i decided to use the Web Call Back(I am calling from INDIA
to UK) When i gave my numbers and hit submit , i got the call instantly , I thought my
problem was solved but to my utter disappointment , i found tht the call didnt not
connect to the other party. Loss of 47 Cents(38.88+8)
3)THen i tried to call to the UK number first and then to the India number from it , what happenend was amazing after my experiance with pennytel. The call did connect successfully , But the voice clarity is utterly low and there was a dealy of about 3 secs in the voice . after long time my ears got used to the delay and disturbance . when lastly misfortune struck again and the call disconnected at less than 40 Min (Disgusting again )
I notices that my calls never lasted for more than 40-50 Min
This is not at all fair on Pennytels part to annouce such a real good plan which was sure to make anyone signup and offer such a pitiful service which will make customers run away from them forever.
And lastly i didnt mention this above since i was not charged anythin ,
the Missed call back services do not workat all
and ONE THING WHICH WORKS PERFECT is the Worldwide SMS service cool huh
after a lot of struggle i tested all the services offered by pennytel and found that only the SMS works perfect.

frequent disconnections (in my case this is very costly since it amount to 48 cents per call)
finally by this kinda service i am sure ill not recomend anyone to USE pennytel

Normal plans, the calls are great, the call till you drop calls drop out way to often and the call quality is rubbish.
As for ur info vinay doesnt live in India currently ,
and its pretty true that since pennytel servers are far off in Australia , i have been experiencing
Poor Call Quality
Frequent Call drop outs(infact i made 30 calls and all of them dropped before i hung up the call )
I would not recommend Pennytel to any indians out there who want to call.
As of now i would say Tringme Works really Well for me,
Even the call back system they introduced is excellent and the voice clarity has not me compromised anywhere.

Actually i dont agree with you srikanth. You look new to the VOIP scene and have little or no idea about how VOIP companies operate.
you made a brave attempt at analysing a company's service based on this limited knowledge. I do NOT face any issue while using pennytel. Read vinay's pennytel review, you should get all the answers. I trust vinay more than a new blogger who is just trying to increae traffic to his blog. sorry to say this but it all seems like that from the first look.
You have no analysis in the post. When criticising someone you must make valid points about whats right and whats wrong. You said u can't use SIP softphone with pennytel, thats utter BS. i am using it, if it works with any ATA it should work just fine with a softphone.
your post just seems like gaining publicity and traffic to your blog. i would advice people not to trust this review and give pennytel a try
I jus wish Tringme could give an Untimed service ,
It would rock with all its features.
The post i made above is my personal exp , i have raised a complaint to the Customer care 48 Hours have passed and no respose has seemed to come from them , lets see anyway.
This is just a word of caution to any indians out there who might try pennytel .
