Used Cars – Advantages and Disadvantages

When I hear about the purchase and sales of used cars, I somehow cannot resist warning persons who are involved with used cars because I should admit that I was one among many persons who had bought a junk in the name of a used car long back.  I took that deal as a lesson for my whole life and swore that I would not do that mistake again and not let others fall prey to it.  I am not saying that buying and selling used cars are to be avoided or neglect but should be done with care.

My advice or suggestion is that a person who needs to buy a used car should get it only from a reputed and licensed dealer or stores in order to avoid buying theft cars.  Instead of examining the exteriors and interiors of used cars when they are stationary, it would be wise to take a test drive to inspect how it functions as some of the used cars might look immaculate but not even move an inch.  The used car’s history report should be gone through in a detailed manner to know whether it has been involved in any accidents or survived any natural calamities or so.  Such vehicles need to be avoided according to me, to avoid any future problems.

I think the best way to see the customer walk out the door is to be pushy! IF you sit back, acknowledge you are here to ask questions and then lie low, it’s the best policy. Maybe going up once to volunteer questions or help would be nice but not pushy

Hello. Here are my tips for those searching for a used car. When buying from a private person you should let the mechanic check the car for you before you strike a bargain - it will cost a little to have the car checked but you will have a professional opinion. There are a lot of details that you can check yourself as well, before you set your mind on the car and go to a mechanic. I can recommend two webistes which have plenty of tips what to check, what to ask the seller etc. when looking for used cars. For those living in Ireland it is http://www.cbg.ie/ And for Northern Ireland http://www.ulstercars.co.uk/
