FAQ Guide to Tipsity

Tipsity is the only community powered Tips website. There are literally zillions of How to/ tips and tricks websites on the web, but none of them offers a community based model to discuss and share tips among members. Secondly and most importantly, We want tipsity to be your friendly home on the web.

At Tipsity, you can discuss about Google stock or britney's latest hairstyle or even tips to playing golf in your backyard. Tipsity targets teens, woman, your grandpa and of course YOU. We expect people all over the world to be a part of this revolution. Tips can not only save money but it can save time, effort or even make this world a lot better. Although, we are not charitable organisation we expect Tipsity to contribute to world progress in whatever way we could.

At tipsity, everyone is a owner. We treat and respect our members as our friends. We are strictly agaisnt racism and strongly believe you are a human first before accepting a religion. It doesnt matter what country, religion you are from, our friendly staff and members will welcome you into our world.

How do I write tips?

You can write a new tip. You can also start a Forum topic. Both options are available in Top navigation Menu.

How can i tell my friends about this great site? Afterall, building community is the stronghold of Tipsity. We need you and your friends to participate and build tipsity. You can invite your friends using Invite option. On top of it, you get points for inviting people to Tipsity.

What are points?

We call this user points. Points are given for specific actions you take on Tipsity. Points will play a major role once Tipsity grows. We will give Special discounts, freebies for exchanging points. On top of it, you will get access to Elite Membership (Tipsity Elite member club)which will give more access to content, private forums (special hacks and tips not shared with everyone), special discount offers, freebies, more profile controls, pictures, your very own Blog and much more. Once you gain 100 points( Special launch offer Only) to become elite member. You can gain points for the following actions:

  1.  New Tip written: 10 points 
  2.  Invited Member successfully joined: 2 point
  3. Start a new forum Topic: 2 point 
  4. Post comments: 1 point 
  5. Voting on other tips/Forum topics: 1 point

Who are moderators?

 Moderators are Tipsity members with special privileges. They can edit or delete posts/forum topics/comments etc. Moderators are needed to ensure that we are aliens from unnecessary SPAM. We absolutely dont tolerate SPAM on tipsity. If you want to be a moderator, please post under Tipsity Feedback Forum You can also report spam using our "Report Spam" option on every forum/tips page.
