TurboTax is by far the best Tax Preparation Software available in america and its been consistently doing better with their awesome features. TurboTax can easily outscore online tax preparation service like Taxslayer.com or for that matter softwares like TaxAct or HR Block's TaxCut. However please note that TurboTax comes with a heavy price tag, its almost 3 times costlier than any other tax preparation service or tax preperation software.

TurboTax 2008 Premier edition is elegant although it runs a bit more slowly than the competition.At the beginning of each section (Wages & Income, Deductions & Credits), TurboTax gives you two options. You can see a complete list of all topics in that section and select the ones that apply to you, or you can let TurboTax guide you through every topic in the section. For example, if you select Retirement Distributions in Your Income (having opted to see all topics), you'll see two subtopics, Social Security, Veterans Benefits and IRA and Pension Distributions. Start (or revisit) an individual topic (or all of them), and TurboTax walks you through each question required.

One of the great things about TurboTax Home Business Edition is the ease of use. For example, if you are running a home business and you select that option, TurboTax will automatically give you most likely details of things you would need to file in such as expenses for office stationary, insurance, mortgage interest, and real estate taxes. It would also prompt you if in case you are duplicating any amounts or income tax heads.

TurboTax is also the only tax preparation software which lets you import W-2 Entrydirectly from employers who use ADP, Paychex, and ProBusiness which, according to Intuit, covers over 60 percent of all U.S. employees. TurboTax will also import paycheck data from Quicken (directly, if you're using Quicken 2007-2009, or as a TXF file if you have an earlier version).

TurboTax Support (Phone / Email/ Online Help): Intuit charges $39.95 for support if you're audited (it's free with TurboTax). Intuit gives you a free 20-minute call until January 31, 2009, then charges $29.95 for 20 minutes on one topic, and $19.95 for each additional 20 minutes).

In our opinion, TurboTax Premier 2008 provides the most cohesive, intuitive, well-designed tax preparation experience out there.
