I'm using Taxslayer to file our sons taxes and ours this year on (1) computer and paid for both on same credit card. I filed our sons taxes online first and everything went through - logged out and went back in to file ours. Upon going through each form once more I checked the summary page before efiling - funny when I clicked on efile - our sons return info pops up showing his $$$. So I clicked on return to main menu, the site kicked me off. Went back in and used my user my password got all the way seeing our return info through the summary page again, clicked on efile again - same #@!$* thing our sons info, so this time I clicked on continue and again I'm kicked off the site!! I've done this now for (3) days, I've emailed their "support" center and they eml me back saying "evidently your using your sons user name" what a bunch of idiots - I'm not stupid I know what I typed in. I realize maybe I needed to do this from another computer?! You've got to be kidding me! So I did it from work and got an eml later saying "error" you need to correct your AGI but I paid for all my previous info to come forward - what happened with that service! After I've had NO help from them unless I give another $10 so I can actually talk to someone and mind you I've paid for both returns already. I'm really #!@$% OFF and I want my money back! Seems like THEIR SYSTEM CAN'T DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE (2) DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS I SET UP. Must be because our last name & address IS the same - same computer was used and only (1) credit card was used. I advise not using Taxslayer due to their system glitches and someone above them/outside needs to know about this - and I'm gonna keep posting until I get my $$$ back. Bunch of idiots!!!

I have been using taxslayer.com for now 3 years. This year was different and I want it to file under there Free Edition (FREE). So I entered all my tax informtation like I normally do (No W-2s this year) just unemployment which is Federal not state. So after I done everything, I'm now ready to file this return for this tax year. When I go to hit Send Return Now. I noticed that under the taxslayer logo that it changed from Free Edition to Classic Edition. I thought this was odd and I can't call the company cause I'm not paying for there most expensive package. Everything has to be done through e-mail. BOTTOMLINE: If it says Free usually its too good to be true. Don't always believe what you read. (Federal is Free, State is Not - But this companies don't care, anything to get what they want. P.S. I think its total BS you have to pay $4.95 to take a look at your last year(s) tax return. (DON'T USE TAXSLAYER - I would NOT recommend this company to anyone)

Just finished my son's tax returns, both Fed and state, online with TaxSlayer. Received confirm this morning that the Fed side was accepted and received confirm this evening that the state side was accepted. Very nice. Best of all - I found it to have very smooth navigation. May use this software for my return - which will be a joint return.
