June 12- I received my federal return several weeks ago. I submitted my return and my two children's return to State of GA on april 13. I've checked the website and they indicate they have not received any of the returns!!! This is very concerning as then you begin to wonder if they will come after you for not submitting returns!! Does anyone know if this is common for GA this year? Did they outsource our taxes to India?

We mailed our state tax return via certified mail. It was signed for on April 2, 2009 (pre inked stamp stated the date, a name and Dept of Revenue, contents not verified). I've set on hold with the State of Geogia for 44 minutes now, and still have not taled to a real person. My question: Should I go ahead and submit a second tax return?

I know they received my return as it was sent certified mail. I caught the tail end of a news piece talking about Georgia being backed up. I just wish I knew when to expect it.
