I have been a big fan of Ebay since it was launched a few years back. Me and my friends used to grab some really awesome deals on Ebay. I also got my first Xbox on ebay. Those were the golden days of ebay where sellers were ethical and used to deliver what was promised. Gone are those days, Today you will find it nearly impossible to get a good deal on ebay and sincere sellers. Couple of friends got scammed by some fella who sold them Wii bundle as new product but was actually delivered as "old used Wii".

It was about time we started looking for a better alternative to Ebay. Around 2 months back, my friend Mike discovered about www.rockybid.com, a penny auction website where you can buy new stuff for literally pennies. I really mean pennies. There are items like Ipad 32 Gb sold out for 3 cents? We were totally zapped and it was unbelivable. We really thought for a moment that Rockybid is a scam. However, I decided to give it a shot. Unless you try, you would never know if its for real or scam. So I registered at Rockybid.com and bought a Bid Pack with a 10% Off Rockybid coupon Code-ThunderBids10. A bid pack is necessary to start bidding on an item. Now I had the 175 bids which i use to bid at rockybids.

The first item i desperately looking for was a good Camcorder, so I bid on Canon HG21 High definition Camcorder. Soon the bid started going up as other users started bidding on an item. The best way to win a bid is look at the closing counters and get into action when the bids are about to close. I finally snatched the deal at $25.96. Can you imagine? The retail price of Canon HG21 is $749 at Best Buy and I got it for $25.96. The camcorder was delivered via UPS in 3 days.

With Rockybid, you can't go wrong. Each bid increases with only 1 cent so you can control your bidding very well. They also a Bid Buddy, an optional automated bidding system which makes your bidding very easy. Especially helpful if you are not sitting in front of PC watching the bids. The bid buddy can automatically raise your bids. I prefer manual bidding but if you don't have time, bid buddy is awesome.

If you are wondering of is Rockybid legit or scam? then I must say, Rockybid isn't a scam and its fully legit penny auction system. They deliver items to USA and Canada.

You can signup at Rockybid using Coupon Code-ThunderBids10 which will take 10% off your bid pack.

So, yes, this is a good story about a good experience with Rockybid. And I actually have a couple of those under belt, though neither are quite as good a story as yours is, but with my VERY first bid there I took a 25 dollar Amazon.com gift card, for I think it was 11cents. Okay, then 2 dollars and change to ship it ... overall, pretty sweet! Then I sold it on Ebay for 15 dollars (yes, I am one of those "good deal/sincere seller folks, I'm happy to say, with a fairly recent albeit proven record, so there are some of us!);-)But, back to Rockybid: They have a couple of little glitches that need to be worked out ... one of which robbed me of a 100 dollar American Express gift card, AFTER spending 82 bids on it, and actually WINNING. BUT, at the nano-second after "Going, Going ..." occurred, and remember, after my having bid for an hour or something on it with no problems, right then, as I was winning it, with my name all lit up right underneath it AS the winner ... BOOM here comes this little sign that says, "Oh we're sorry, you can't win this item, as you've exceeded your winning limit!" ... um, NO, I most certainly have not, did not, was not, could not, should not, and will not, ... lol. Naturally those were the cleanest thoughts I can recall having as I watched someone else walk away with my winning prize. And, after a long drawn out back and forth between Rockybid and me following that night, for about a week and a half, they kindly refunded my bids. Woohoo ... okay, that's almost the right thing to do. It's obvious that I won ... or why would the thing have told me oops .. you can't win??? And my point to them (on which they agreed, eVENTUally ... was that if it were true, (which it was not) why would it wait to tell me I couldn't win, until I DID win? Um ... that's JUST WRONG. And they agreed. Said it was a glitch, and they'd get back to me real soon about my prize ... which of course was well over a week ago without a single word since. And I have a hunch I know what the word will be when it comes .... ummm, we can't tell, really, if you won or not, so sorry ... which will be, bullEHEM if that's what they say. It's not rocket science, and while I do give them props for at the very least giving me my bids back to lose again ... cuz that's real nice and most penny auctions wouldn't do that much ... but I won, fair and square, and the only resulting trouble was BECAUSE of THEIR glitch, and therefore if they are not going to give me my win, that's as big a scam as if they had kept my bids too. Period. So, I guess we'll see, but I think it's only fair to add the bad with the good if we're going to talk about Rockybid ... especially when comparing it to Ebay. At least with Ebay, if you file a dispute, they will move quickly to look into it and fix it ... COMPLETELY ... or at least that's been my experience. Maybe they need to be scrutinized as well. What do I know? And I wouldn't ever presume to assess what happened to you or your friend there. It's a crooked world we live in, for sure ... but I thank you for the opportunity to talk about this, and I hope you keep winning. I'm not spending another dime there until I see my American Express gift card in the mail. Great luck to you, though!
