one number that rings your jaxtr
Today I will explain a way that you can have one number to give out that rings your jaxtr; no more of having to go to use the widget and get number for each phone being used. There are a number of ways to acheive this. I will be Using SIPnumber/Calldigits and Switchvox demo acount for this example.
step 1: you will need a jaxtr account.
step 2: sign up for a SIPnumber. now log into your account on the Calldigits site(its funny but you can do this; just use your sipnumber username and password.) on the calldigits site there will be an option to change the caller ID to always pass your SIPnumber instead of the actual number called from.
step 3: use your jaxtr widget to get a jaxtr call in number. use your new SIPnumber as the number you will be calling from.
step 4: you need to use any SIP service that you can point your SIPnumber at that will forward to number in the USA for free. for this post I will use the free trial from switchvox. goto switchvox.com and sign up for the free trial. next you need to set up an extension; this needs to be a virtual extension. you need to set up this extension as a cascade; that will forward all to that extension to a PSTN number. use the jaxtr number you got as the forwarding number. goto the inbound routing menu on switchvox. set calls to number xxx(your new extension) to goto extension xxx.
step 5: log into your SIPnumber account(not through calldigits this time.) set the callforward to the new extension you set up on switchvox (i.e. xxx@demo.switchvox.com)
now anyone that dials your SIPnumber from any phone worldwide will be connected your jaxtr voicemail or phone. the same thing will work with rebtel/talkster/jangl but only jaxtr will connect to any country. you can exeriment with DID's(or even sipbroker platforms) from other countries and other forwaring platforms. the key is that you most be able to set the caller ID to be the same no matter what phone the call is coming from.
now we need to learn the jaxtr hack that we have heard about and we will be on to something big. who knows the jaxtr hack for unlimited jax?
My friend is located in Bangladesh, unforutunetly I know the situation with voip over there and thus has been very difficult to find anything that good that works with Bangladesh, other than jaxtr and flashphone.
the betamax service dialnow is callthrough and calls to bangladesh landlines are only 1 eurocent per minute.
What country is your friend in? Maybe there is free calling somehow to/from that country.
so does anyone know how to use jaxtr so that i can constantly recieve calls from same phone number (from international landline user)?
I was thinking of making the person who calls me (international #) as the main phone number on jaxtr, but he does not have the internet, and thus i would have to verify the phone for him. I was thinking of using a service like calldigits where they give you a normal number and forward to your number, however calldigits only forwards to U.S. number. Thus does anyone know a service that gives U.S. number and forwards free to international landline? Or any other suggestions to use jaxtr better? thanks!
does anyone know any way to use jaxtr so that i can recieve calls (in usa) from landline phone (from foreign country) several times more than once for free?
or if a trick to verify jaxtr phone so that i can make the foreign country landline phone number the main jaxtr number so i can call the phone number that jaxtr gives (since i can get free calling to other u.s. number)? i was thinking this can be done if there is some sort of call forward service (EXACTLY like calldigits) however call digits only forwards to other U.S. phone. This is the only way i can imagine verifying an international phone so that i can call that person. Confusing i know, but I just cant seem to find a call forwarding service that is free that will forward call to international #.
any suggestions?
