Stephanie burkett or Stephanie Birkitt was David Letterman's former assistant and according to the letterman extortion criminal case, Stephanie Burkett was involved in compromising sexual acts with letterman and this evidence was used to blackmail letterman. 

Stepanie Burkett is now a defending party in this criminal case which am sure Letterman will file a civil case against both stephanie birkitt and Robert Joe Halderman for exposing his personal life and damage to his name.
