ITrade or intertrade the Prediction Market

Today i found a great new site i wanted to share with you all. Its called InTrade . I have seem many people calling it iTrade or Intertrade or even in trade.

Although it sounds like a online trading website, its actually a new entertainment trading website where you can place your bet on your favorite basketball player or even on barack obama on presidential campaign 2008. You can buy stocks of barack obama if he happens to go long way the stock value would increase and then you can sell them off.

Its like trading of real life things instread of share trading. Currently there is a major volatility and liquidity in the US presidential election markets. People are buying and selling John Mccain, Barack Obama and hillary at rapid pace.

Overall intrade is a great new fun way to trade online. Unlike other fun websites however InTrade deals with real money that means you actually buy stock contracts when you pay for it.

Their help page says, Within each category we list a set of contracts, a contract is an event that will have an unambiguous result.

For example, some of our political contracts are: "Will George Bush be re-elected in 2004" or "Will John Kerry win the Democratic Nomination". Each one is an event with an unambiguous result, either George Bush will be re-elected or he won't.
