Like all other states across USA, From April 16 2010, Florida is offering Florida ENERGY STAR Appliance Rebate Program to approximately 600,000 florida residence who will be able to receive a rebate for 20 percent of the purchase price of new ENERGY STAR appliances to replace their old energy-inefficient appliances as long as the purchased appliance is for residential use.

The new ENERGY STAR appliance must be purchased from a Florida retailer between April 16 2010 and April 25, 2010. The Florida ENERGY STAR Appliance Rebate Program Web site will be down on Friday, April 16, 2010, from 9 to 11 a.m. EDT, in preparation for assigning Priority Numbers.

In order to claim the Florida Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program, you must follow following steps:
  1. Purchase Qualifying ENERGY STAR Appliance(s) such as refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers, dishwashers, gas water heaters (tankless) , and room air conditioners.
  2. Create an account and apply for a Priority Number on this Web Site at www.rebates.com/florida. From April 16, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. EDT, you can obtain a Priority Number online. Please note that Priority Numbers are not required to apply for a rebate. However, rebate applications with a Priority Number will receive preferential processing, ahead of applications without a Priority Number.
  3. Download the Rebate Application form, Print and Complete the form.
  4. You need to mail Page 2 of your Rebate Application Form and Required Documentation As Soon As Possible. Please ensure to also provide following details with your Florida Appliance Rebate Application Form.
  • Rebate Application Form, including model number(s) and serial number(s) for ENERGY STAR appliance(s) and Priority Number
  • Original Sales Receipts clearly showing purchases of qualifying products. Sales receipts must show retailer name and location, date purchased, price paid, model purchased, taxes paid, and be machine generated.
  • Proof of Recycling (if applicable to your purchase)
  • Keep copies of all materials sent
  • Make sure all items are postmarked on or before Monday, May 10, 2010.
Total Rebate Amount per purchase is limited 20% of Retail Purchase Price of Appliance PLUS $75 for Recycling

I was notified on 5/19/10 by e-mail that my Florida Energy Star Appliance rebate submission was approved. When will I be getting the American Expess card for the rebates that I applied for?

I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT MY REBATE AND SENT APPLICATION AND RECEIVED NUMBERS FOR MY FRIDG AND DISHWASHER. WHERE DO I CALL FOR INFORMATION? CHARLES DIMATEO POMPANO BEACH
