I signed up for National Credit Report.com back in October of last year, got my free credit report and credit score and signed up for credit monitoring...I am writing to tell you that their credit monitoring service actually tipped me off to a potential credit card thief in December. I received an email alert from NationalCreditReport.com's credit monitoring service telling me that there was an inquiry made to my credit. I know that I did not apply for any loans or new credit recently and when I read the alert I discovered that someone else was trying to get credit in my name. I contacted my credit card company immediately to tell them this story and that this was not me...and they helped me shut my account down and get a new one before I could become a victim. I never would have know this if I was not signed up for National Credit Report.com service...I still have it to this day and will keep it for a while because it helped me.
