Whistler xtr 550 radar and laser detector Review and Features
How to use whistler xtr 550 radar and laser detector
If anyone is buying this radar, I would advice the following:
1- Modify it. Take the circuitry out and place it inside your car's control panel with the sensors outside.
Why?
a- Some estate are illegal
b- If a cop stop you and see that you have a radar detector, he/she will put you a ticket for whatever reason he/she can find or he/she can create.
Why?
From a point of view of a cop, you have a radar detector because you have the intention to drive fast. So why not give you a ticket for something you were planning to do anyways.
So make it in the way that is no obvious that you have a radar detector.
2- If you radar detector go on and off, it can be a cop testing if you have a radar detector or not by your noticing your driving reaction.
