Toyota Kirloskar Motor Launches Toyota Sales Education Foundation

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) Pvt Ltd today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Galgotia’s Business School on the event of the launch of Toyota Sales Education Foundation (TSEF). Noida to Develop Trained Manpower ‘Sales Officer’ for Toyota Dealerships • Foundation to train students on automotive sales during their graduation and recruit them as sales officers into Toyota Dealer network • Foundation to expose students to the best in automotive sales and develop a desire in students towards sales as a career New Delhi, September 5th, 2012: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) Pvt Ltd today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Galgotia’s Business School on the event of the launch of Toyota Sales Education Foundation (TSEF), here in Greater Noida. Conceptualized, developed & supported by TKM, TSEF is a program focused at training students on automotive sales during their graduation years and later recruiting the trained students as ‘sales officers’ across Toyota dealerships. To be planned and implemented for interested students of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), TSEF will be designed in accordance with the present education pattern in India and the Indian business requirements for the Toyota dealers based in India. Scheduled to be allotted for a minimum of 5 hours per week in the 6th trimester for PGDM students, the program will have a size of 40 students for each batch and will be based on a sales module, developed and designed by TKM. The TSEF module will consist of 40 hours of class room teaching & 20 hours of on job training in form of projects & research work. The ‘on the job’ training modules will be conducted at Toyota Dealerships. The TSEF curriculum would broadly consist of subjects pertaining to automotive sales- both soft skills and technical knowhow. Commenting on this occasion, Mr. Sailesh Shetty, Vice President, Dealer Development and Sales, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “The launch of TSEF as a special sales training module will enable us to provide the latest automotive sales training to students during their graduation and encourage these students to take up sales as their career.
