Finding a great apartment doesn’t have to be hard, but it is going to take you some time. The key to your success is taking the time to look into more than just the location of the apartment and if it is affordable. Find out what type of activities take place in the apartment building as well as the general demographics of those who reside there.

Hello,

I am Williams, i work with Aero Contractor Africa. Presently i am on assignment in the UK. I will be going on a sabatical leave for Two Months, so i will be relocating to your area not with my family in a few weeks time and i am interested in renting the house/apt you advertised on the classified ads. I will also want to know your final asking price plus utility and availability date.

THANKS!!!

I agree CL is a pain...keep trying tho. I would stay away from Rent.com in New York because they don't really capture the new york rental market that well. Stick to Skipbrokers.com since it is a popular one for NY. Another free site here in NY is Listngsquare.com. There is also Rdny.com but they charge a fee to use them. I would stay away from anyone charging a fee.

I have to find a place pronto and Craigslist is just not doing it for me. I can't stand the amount of broker postings that are on there. For the past two days I've been going between Skipbrokers.com and Rent.com. Today I finally submitted an application for an apartment I guess I could see myself living in but don't think I'm gonna get it b/c there were like ten other people I saw applying for that apartment. I'll keep my fingers crossed but I have spent all night on these two sites compiling a new list for tomorrow as a plan B. Not fun!
