Acer Aspire 5315-2826 Laptop Review:

This computer was purchased for my wife to use for her online schooling. It not only is a tremendous value, but the machine performs great and is also incredibly lightweight. The only possible improvement would be to have the option of choosing Windows XP as an operating system. We are very happy with this purchase.

2) We bought 3 of the "Acer Aspire 5315" laptops, 2 for my teenage kids and one for my mother.

Here are my observations:

* My kids love the laptop and have no problem using the mouse touch pad, but my mother can not seem to figure it out (we ended up buying everyone Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 Mac/Win USB).

* The mouse touch pad allows the pointer to drift and jump around on the screen. This seems to be random, but can be annoying (another reason to use an external mouse).

* The screen is VERY clear

* The DVD player is very good and easy for even my mother to use

* The battery life is about 2 hours (long enough for most movies)

* Wi-Fi is very stable

* It is HEAVY!

Not for power users, but recommended for students and casual users.
