I used to receive the statements for home loan with the usual due date and penalty for late payments. The mailed statement usually comes in five days before end of month. This time have not received any statement; and I don't want to be late, incurring that add'l charge for tardiness. Called Customer Service at 1-866-853-6183 hoping to get to talk to a live person; instead went through dealing with some computerized voice. I managed (I think)to tell computerized voice about sending me my monthly statement. The menu did not seem to give one to option to talk to a human being.

Last year, when Countrywide was bought out by BOA, I kept getting letters stating that they did not have a copy of my homeowners insurance. I called, faxed and mailed a copy of the dec page, then about 3 months later received notice from BOA that my HO insurance was force placed for $2000 with another company. My original HO policy was less than $1,000. I raised the roof and they cancelled what they had done, but left me with a $1,000 bill to pay back to them because BOA could not get a full refund. I have had to pay an additional $50+ per month to pay off an escrow account that was set up for me by BOA. They are horrible. Why can't somone look into their business practices? I was a Countrywide customer for years and never, ever had a problem with my mortgage. BOA takes over and I hate them with every ounce of my being. I wish I could afford to refinance, because I would in a heartbeat to get away from BOA!! Oh and by the way, I just received ANOTHER letter from them stating that they do not have a copy of my Homeowners insurance!!! Do not ignore them...you will be sorry.

Just read your story and hopefully it has been resolved to your satisfaction. Assuming your original home insurance policy was active and BoA just failed to connect the dots, try the following. Contact your State Insurance Commission and explain what you have stated here. Yes, you will have to fill out some forms but this will not only resolve your problem but BoA will refund everything they have charged you.

This has got to be the worst ever. I have been almost an hour and still haven't been able to make my loan payment. This is the first time I have had this much trouble. Had trouble before but not this much. I may not get it paid before it late and that's not even today. I'so frustrated I could scream. An upset customer

I agree with every comment about BOA. They are truly the worst mortgage company I have ever worked with. I have the same problems logging in as everyone else. This is ridiculous!!! Get with the program! Send out paper statements if you can't communicate any better that this. Rox

I'm thinking this is a scam. I received a request by mail for proof of my home owner's insurance policy number and am reluctant to provide this info online. I'm afraid that I'll end up in some mess that is uncalled for. My insurance policy is paid in full. After all, this is my home and I'm not developmentally delayed, and I don't wish to subscribe to any porn (example) for an additional fee. Peggy in Arizona

Do not submit any personal or loan information on this site!!! Look closely at this site: Does this look like a legitimate web site representative of a large, highly visible, well-known financial institution like Bank of America??? Of course not. Look at the top of this page: "Tipsity?" Does that look professional to you? Would Bank of America employ an advertising, web-developer that moronic???
Submitted by Godmode on Sat, 12/12/2009 - 14:48.
There is no scam here. I agree that people should not post any personal information on this website since its publicly available. This website has never tried to trick you or claim that Tipsity.com run by BOA or any other banking services. Tipsity is purely a information provider so use your brain and information provided here for your benefit. As a modertor, I always clean all private information on this website like credit card numbers etc. Please refrain from posting your insurance policy numbers etc. For all official communication you must visit www.bankofamerica.com I hope that clarifies everything including your false accusations.

Homeowners, I got the same correspondence as "Dave from Michigan." My experience may be the same as all of you. We refinanced about six months ago, meeting all of the terms of the mortgage conditions, including adequate insurance to cover the mortgage (term life and home coverage). Our policy was with Chase Mortgage, who then sold it to Bank of America. As most of you know, this happens often. Question: As Bank of America has a poor reputation, we would never have refinanced with them. So, since B of A purchased our policy, what right have they to change the terms??? I'm assuming they did so with their eyes wide open. So, I think this is a scam. Please join me in contacting your local congressman's office as well as your Attorney General's office. Something is very wrong here! Let's put their CEO on the carpet to explain this subprime service.

I received a letter from you stating that you needed verification of my homeowners insurance and that I could give you that informatin via the internet. While you made it sound like this would be an easy time saving process by simiply loging into the website you provided, it has been anything but. So, after wasting 45 minutes I'm giving up. Has anyone from your company ever tried to do want you tell your customers to do. Good Luck!!! How ridiculous. Dave from Michigan

You want us to sign up for email notifications---then you make it near impossible to do. I have always been able to get into my account on-line;it wasn't easy, but I could do it. Now, something's different. I can't apply my user name and password that I've always used. The computer tells me it's not right. How many people with accounts have the same account number, yet you need answers to stupid questions. I tried to sign up for email notifications and noticed something called feed burner and was going to be a fee. I tried to cancel that as I'm not paying for something when you advertise it to be free. What's a guy to do? If you want to send me a piece of paper every month, that's okay with me. Bob Craig craigley@msn.com
